A California home renovated by HGTV stars Heather Rae and Tarek El Moussa recently appeared on the market.
This house was featured in the second episode of the couple’s new series, “The Flipping El Moussas.” On the show, Tarek does somersaults with his new wife, Heather Raereal estate agent on the Netflix reality show “Selling Sunset.”
She’s used to selling multi-million dollar mansions and is finding that her exclusive tastes can be both a help and a hindrance to Tarek’s trademark twists.
Heather Rae has apparently learned to rein in her excessive spending. In this second launch, she even negotiated with the builders to reduce the price of it.
Built in 1972, this home was roach infested and littered with trash when El Moussas purchased it for $1,090,000 in February 2022. Mainly due to permit delays, the renovated residence was not relisted until January 2023.
“It sold very quickly for $1,635,000,” Tarek says at the end of Episode 2. “So we ended up with a total profit of $103,000.”
It is now a beautiful five-bedroom, three-bathroom home with first-class finishes from top to bottom. It features wide plank flooring, remodeled and upgraded bathrooms, and a beautiful kitchen with new cabinets, quartz countertops, tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, and island and peninsula.

On the main level, walls were removed to create a sun-filled great room. Updating the old brick fireplace with a modern Mediterranean theme also enhanced the design.
The second floor has also received a major renovation, with a deluxe bathroom added to the master suite, and a spacious family room has been tastefully updated to better accommodate movie nights, sleepovers, and other types of family fun.
Out front, a low-maintenance deck replaced the concrete patio and the entire landscaping was redone.
The unique backyard features a pool with a bridge over it.
