He Hotel JW Marriott Madrid has opened its doors, marking the brand’s debut in Spain.
The 139-room hotel, located next to the city’s Puerta del Sol public square, is housed in a historic building that was once home to one of Madrid’s oldest perfumeries. The property retains some of the structure’s original elements, including wrought iron columns dating back to the 19th century.
Most of the property’s suites are equipped with a private terrace.
Inspired by the building’s heritage, the JW Marriott Hotel Madrid has forged a partnership with the Spanish Perfume Academy, displaying vintage perfume bottles and other perfume-related memorabilia in its lobby.

Additionally, guests are asked to select from one of five different locally inspired scents, and then the chosen scent is placed in their room closet.
Special “olfactory training workshops”, created in collaboration with the Perfume Academy, are also available.
Other amenities offered at JW Marriott Hotel Madrid include Qu, a local culinary and cocktail concept created in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Mario Sandoval, as well as a fitness center and wellness area.
The JW Marriott Hotel Madrid is the latest property to join JW Marriott’s portfolio of more than 100 hotels around the world.
